Hey!  My name is Sarah Mayer.  Authored By Fire all began with a word that turned into an idea that then turned into a dream.  Having my own shop is something I've dreamed about since I was in middle school. Before I was old enough to get my own job, I would sell my old clothes online to make money (ever heard of Poshmark or Depop?). The routine of listing, selling and dropping off orders was fun to me. It made it even more fulfilling when I would get positive feedback from my buyers and seeing them happy. In addition to this, I've always loved books and writing. After I self published my first piece, a little poetry book called Songs of The Secret Place, I wanted to find a way where I could incorporate my passion for clothing and books into one. After the boutique I worked at sadly closed down in 2026, God made it clear it was the time to take the leap of faith I had been holding back on for years. Thus, Authored By Fire was born!  Passion for the written word and clothing combined, Authored By Fire is not just meant to be a shop, but a faith-filled ministry that is inspired by the God of holy fire Himself— to encourage those in their walk with Christ with storytelling, thoughtful blogs, literary tools and confident clothing! As I begin this journey in the small business world, I thank you in advance for your patience and presence with me as I navigate the challenges and lessons learned I know I will encounter. My prayer is that Authored By Fire will be refined and grown over time with each new member of the communities I hope to connect with.  We are all authored by the God who is a holy, consuming fire, molded and created by the creator Himself who walks with us through the other kind of fire, the painful seasons of life. He has authored and penned every one of our stories with great detail and purpose, ready to guide us so that his holy fire can refine and sharpen us into new creations in Christ.  Thank you for joining me on this journey!
